This month I have a birthday. I turn the big blank 0. _0. You can fill that in with a 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, whatever. It always feels like kind of a big deal when you embark upon the next decade of you life. That's why I am so thrilled that I have begun recording my new album with producer Anand Nayak. We began recording the basic acoustic tracks and will be recording with drums and bass next month. The results so far are fabulous and I cannot wait to hear what happens next.
Secondly, I have a gig at one of my favorite local hangouts, Luthier's Co-op. I'll be playing with a band right after The Lonesome Brothers. What an honor to share the night with these true local heroes. That will take place April 23. We play at 9:30. Lonesome Bros. are on at 8. The Rococo Bang kick things off at 7. Show is free. Please show up, help me celebrate my birthday month, and bring a few bucks for tips to help me pay the musicians!. Dov Plotkin will be here from Boston to play the drums and Garrett Sawyer will be sitting in on bass. It's gonna be awesome.
Now if that snow outside my door would just melt......
